Lost or stolen card
Don't worry. If you realize you've lost your MasterCard card or if it was stolen, contact one of our customer service agents as soon as possible. You can reach them at the numbers below, 24 hours a day:

Obtain or change a PIN
To obtain a PIN for your MasterCard or change your existing PIN, simply go to any National Bank branch.

One of our customer service representatives will give you a temporary PIN and you will then have 30 minutes to go to an ABM and change it using the "PIN selection" option.
Get an additional card
To add a card to your account, simply contact our Customer Contact Centre at one of the following numbers:

Transfer a balance from another card
You can transfer the balances of your credit cards from other financial institutions or departement store1 to your National Bank MasterCard.

Download and complete the enclosed balance transfer form and return it by fax at 514-394-8772 or 1 866-394-8772. You can also call one of our representatives to ask for a balance transfer form to be sent to you: 514 394-1427 or 1 888 9MYCARD.

1 Bank reserves the right to refuse any balance transfer. Unless you have signed up for a reduced rate, all balances transferred and cash advances will be subject to the regular annual interest rates in effect for the card issued.

Get a reduced rate on my account

Available on Edition card only : For as little as $20 a year, you can reduce the annual interest rate applicable to your card. It's a great way to cut down on your interest charges.

For added protection and peace of mind, credit card payment insurance is a wise investment. This insurance gives you optional protection that covers your minimum monthly MasterCard payments or your entire balance, depending on the situation.

MasterCard Secure CodeTM is a free service that offers added protection for your online purchases. Your Secure Code is a confidential code known only to you and your financial institution. You have to enter this code each time you want to make an online purchase from a participating merchant.

More information about the smart card
In the coming years, National Bank will be adding a microchip to its debit and credit cards to make them "smart". This new technology will increase the security of transactions carried out at point of sale terminals and ABMs.

Simplify the management of your mail while contributing to the preservation of the environment by receiving your bills and statements electronically through the online billing service offered on the Internet Banking Solutions. No more paperwork!

All the time, thanks to a secured electronic mail box, you will be able to:

  • Receive online your MasterCard Statements as well as all your other bills and statements (chose among more than 200 shippers). No more paperwork!
  • Pay online if you wish
  • File your bills and statements for a period of up to 7 years

Pay a credit card account by Internet
Facilitate the payment of your MasterCard credit card with the National Bank's Internet Banking Solutions:

All the time:

  • Verify your account balance, the available funds, the operations carried out, the minimum payment due, and the due date of the payment
  • Pay your credit card account (if you posses another bank account with the National Bank)

    • Pay the minimum or the totality of your balance
    • Make you payment the same day or post-date it to the desired date
    • Gradually reimburse your account by establishing periodic payments
